Relationship counselling is at the heart of what we do at SMC. If you are interested in supporting and developing the relationships of people across Scotland, then training to become a SMC relationship counsellor will be just perfect for you.
What does a relationship counsellor do?
Normally as a Relationship Counsellor you would meet with couples or individuals for around six sessions. Counsellors provide their clients a safe and confidential space for them to discuss openly the issues in their relationship(s).
During those sessions, to help your clients make changes for the future they want, you offer a balance of support and challenge.
What we offer you
We can offer you the chance to enrol in a DIPLOMA in Relationship Counselling awarded by York St John University. In addition, SMC provides all cousellors in training the opportunity to counsel from the various centres around the country.
SMC’s Diploma course is validated and the course content, teaching delivery, assessment and course management continuously monitored by York St John University.
