Become a Centre Receptionist

Are you interested in helping us out at SMC but just don’t have the time to train and volunteer as a Relationship Counsellor? Being a Centre Receptionist is another valuable way to volunteer with us.

What does a Centre Receptionist do?

One night a week you will accompany a counsellor so that they can see their clients safely and confidentially. You will be the clients’ first point of welcome, making them feel at ease.

Receptionists play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming SMC atmosphere. Without a receptionist our counsellors can’t carry out their role.

Whilst the clients are seeing the counsellor, you have a little bit of you time! An opportunity to catch up on any of those great books you’ve been meaning to read, or that paperwork you never get to when you’re in the house.
