REACTing in Schools

Referrals to REACT are from Pastoral Care, Integrated Assessment Teams, and School Staff who see young people everyday with emotional, behavioural and mental health issues.  We have developed an excellent working relationship with school staff and worked together to help improve outcomes for pupils. We offer one to one counselling or group work where several young people come together and a tailored programme is delivered.

Many young people struggle.  Their emotional distress is often too difficult to cope with, they can use negative behaviours to help them deal with their feelings such as alchol/drug abuse, anger, violence, running away.

'REACT has been great to deal with - very helpful, efficient, pleasant and organised.  The pupils are positive about this support and enjoy their time in the groups.'
