What is FOCCUS?

FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding and Study) is for you if you are planning to marry or move in together. It is based upon current research about the key elements in a successful relationship and aims to help you both learn more about yourselves and your unique relationship.

How does FOCCUS work?

FOCCUS is an enjoyable 2-part program.

During the first FOCCUS meeting you will each complete a detailed questionnaire. This takes between 45-60 minutes. There may be other couples in the room completing their questionnaires too. Later your questionnaire is confidentially processed to identify your relationship’s unique profile. 

A week or so later you both return for a confidential feedback session lasting around 1 & 1/2 hrs with a FOCCUS facilitator. The Facilitator will work with you to look at the patterns in your responses. FOCCUS is not a pass-fail test or a predictor of relationship success or failure. It is an important tool to help you identify the positive areas in your relationship and also discuss and work through any important relationship topics.  This is a chance for you to discover even more about each other.
For many couples this is a very special session, helping them to recognise and celebrate the strengths and opportunities in their life together.
