FOCCUS Marriage Preparation

What is FOCCUS?

FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding and Study) is self-diagnostic inventories designed to help couples who are planning to marry learn more about themselves and their unique relationship.
SMC use FOCCUS to facilitate open and honest communication between couples and to provide individual feedback on where each partner stands in regard to topic areas important to marriage.

It is not a pass-fail test or a predictor of success or failure in marriage but a means to
identify and work through issues to be discussed before marriage.  

The Service Provided by SMC

SMC is currently in partnership with the Catholic Church, to provide FOCCUS as part of a Marriage Preparation Package, for couples preparing for marriage. 

In order to support this work we are recruiting individuals to train as volunteer FOCCUS Facilitators, who will work from SMC Centres.
